Ak-Shyirak is a paradise for wildlife photographers, naturalists and nature lovers.
Local protected natural areas (200 and 78 sq. km) adjacent to the Sarychat-Eertash Reserve provide an opportunity to observe herds of wild ungulates.
The Sarychat-Eertash Nature Reserve has the highest population density of the snow leopard (2 individuals per 100 sq. km), which will allow you to see the snow leopard with your own eyes!
The lands around the villages are also distinguished by their unique beauty. Here there are interesting objects ground and polished by geological processes for thousands of years. Winds, rains and high mountain conditions created stone objects. A kind of gallery of stone sculptures is located just half an hour drive from the village of Ak-Shyirak.
